Over the past six years, my work in journalism has taken me all around the world, and opened my eyes to new challenges and perspectives. From my first opinion article in the high school paper to my interviews with ambassadors and dignitaries, I've found a passion for hearing and telling powerful stories. With 100+ published articles, I've gained expertise in writing on government, development, education, and international relations stories.
Journalism has given me experiences I never expected to have. Whether it be in the secret reading rooms of the Library of Congress, the most rural regions of Rwanda, or on a moving DC Circulator bus, I've conducted interviews in some of the most interesting places.
My work teaches me a great deal about the community I live in and the people I meet. I've been inspired and am driven by normal people that achieve extraordinary things. Another lesson I've learned: journalism isn't the desk job that I thought it was...unless I'm on deadline :)
